PGCE Information

PGCE Information

For the PGCE element of this programme, you will attend 8 days of training at The University of Manchester and have full access to all facilities.

The programme comprises four course units, and an ethical approval process in preparation for conducting an enquiry. All students must pass each of the four course units with at least 40% or above in order to pass the academic element of the PGCE (SCITT) qualification. 

Each course unit is worth 15 credits, giving a total of 60 credits at postgraduate Master’s level. If you pass the assessed units at 50% or above you can use the credits gained as part of a future Master’s degree. The course unit titles are as follows:
