Who are we?

Who are we?

Head teacher from Mayfield primary teaching BBL trainees in a classroom

Through our expert programme, trainees can become a qualified primary teacher in just 12 months.  Our training is a one year, hands on course with most of the time being spent in the classroom in two different primary schools. Our approach supports trainees to achieve Primary QTS with a PGCE and to become excellent primary teachers.

Smaller provider – Size matters
We know every trainee as an individual and they know us and our partner schools really well. As a smaller provider we can offer a more personal approach.

This means our trainees benefit from:

  • a smaller cohort of trainees
  • a more intimate experience
  • great networking opportunities
  • our strong local knowledge and partnerships

BBL Teacher Training is a local teacher training provider and primary teacher training specialist, accredited by Bright Futures SCITT.  Being a primary specialist means we are 100% primary focused and have a deep understanding of what it takes to become a successful primary school teacher.

We pride ourselves on being more than just an educational stepping stone – we are a close-knit community dedicated to nurturing aspiring primary teachers. As a small and dedicated provider, we prioritise quality over quantity, allowing us to forge meaningful connections with each trainee.

Unique and tailored experience
We embrace the power of personalisation. Unlike larger institutions, our intimate approach means you won’t be just a face in the crowd; instead, you’ll become an integral part of our closely-knit cohort. With a smaller group of trainees, we offer a unique and tailored experience, ensuring that you receive the attention and support you need to flourish in your journey to becoming a primary teacher.

Intimate learning environment
Our commitment to creating a close community between our trainees, our partner schools and our mentors translates into numerous advantages. From an intimate learning environment that fosters strong relationships to unparalleled networking opportunities via our partner schools, our smaller cohort sets the stage for a more enriching and personalised primary teacher training experience.

Extensive partnerships
Being a local provider, we take pride in our strong ties with partner schools and the local community. This local knowledge and our extensive partnerships contribute to a well-rounded training program, offering a comprehensive understanding of the dynamics of primary education in our local area.
